To say that Education is complex topic is an absolute understatement. There is no dearth of ideas – but there is also no dearth of challenges. Probably the most challenging aspect of Education is its variability.<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

To say that Education is complex topic is an absolute understatement. There is no dearth of ideas – but there is also no dearth of challenges. Probably the most challenging aspect of Education is its variability<\/em>. The aptness of an education model depends on numerous factors – individual students, the society, the culture, the time, the world-view and so on. Thus experimentation and emergence of exciting ideas in this will continue. PBS News Hour recently published an article<\/a> surveying some of the new practices. In this, they focused on Community Lab School, a small public charter school in Virginia. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

In quick words, learning at the Community Lab School is “project-based, multi-grade and interdisciplinary”. The keywords are flexible, interesting, cooperative, “voice and choice” and “social and emotional learning”<\/em>. These are put into practice using innovative methods. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

With societies emerging out of the pandemic there is a lot of thinking happening regarding the models and practices in eduction. Hope they learn the lessons and come back renewed and more effective.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
